A World-Changing Company
Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.
The Program
Global conflict, campus environments, and the political climate reinforce America's - and more broadly the West's - need for smart people with moral clarity to solve problems that matter. Nowhere else is there a greater concentration of these individuals and issues than at Palantir.
In December 2023, we launched the Semester at Palantir program for students who desire to accelerate their career and learn by doing - working on meaningful, real-world problems rather than academic exercises, especially at universities where teaching has strayed.
We are proud to announce another cohort of the program. University fellows will join as Deployment Strategists (Echos) or Forward Deployed Engineers (Deltas) alongside full-time Palantirians, supplemented with programming curated to fuel growth and criticality. The Fall 2025 program runs from September-December 2025.
The Role
You'll work alongside a team solving a variety of technical problems - contributing to Palantir products and customer outcomes. In this role, the challenges you'll encounter will require a curious and analytical approach, a sharp intuition for product, and a strong degree of user insight to ultimately empower our customers to improve decisions.
Our customers come to us seeking AI-powered solutions to safeguard their troops, manufacture high quality products across complex supply chains, power hospitals operations, or deliver aid to refugees securely. You'll transform their ideas from prototype to tangible product, crafting innovative workflows that turn their vision into reality. You may also be deployed to Palantir internal teams and problems. You will be matched to roles based on your skills, interests, and experience.

What We Value
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of individuals, including engineers, users and non-technical team members
  • Willingness to learn proactively, make decisions independently, and ask questions when stuck
  • Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and iterations
  • Extraordinary ability to confront open-ended and ambiguous problems
  • Experience working on technical projects and interest in using large scale data to solve valuable business problems
  • Commitment to democratic values, ability to engage constructively on difficult issues, and desire to uphold Palantir's mission of supporting the institutions underpinning western & allied nations
What We Require
  • US or Canadian Residency to open your personal AIP Dev Tier account for the project aspect of the application
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree at an accredited university
  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Physics
  • Taking the full fall 2025 semester off (4-5 months) to work at Palantir. Candidates cannot be enrolled in university classes during the internship
How to Apply
We're seeking intelligent individuals who are equipped to tackle real-world challenges. To apply, we invite you to demonstrate your ability to do this by building in our AI platform, AIP. This is your opportunity to identify a problem that matters to you and develop an innovative solution.
Submit your Application
* Submit your most recent resume or CV: Please ensure that your university and expected graduation year are clearly listed.
* Application Questions:Respond to the application questions provided.
* Build in AIP + submit a recorded demo: Instructions below for creating a solution of your choosing to showcase your problem solving intuition and technical ability.
Project Submission
Once your application has been submitted, you'll receive further information on how to get set up on AIP as well as instructions for the video and how to submit. Below is the prompt so you can think about the problem you'd like to address before receiving the detailed instructions. Please note, your application will not be considered for this program until you've submitted your completed demo.
* Identify a Problem & Innovate with Data: If you could solve a problem you care about, what would it be? What data would you use? We want to understand your creativity & problem solving abilities. Describe something you'd want to dive into and a high-level approach to how you'd design a solution and what data you would use. This will not lock you into a specific idea but will help us understand how you approach problem-solving and innovation. This is intentionally an open-ended prompt.
* Submit a demo video: Showcase your project in a < 4 minute YouTube video demonstrating the components of your workflow. This will be your chance to showcase not only what you built but share the how and why behind you project to highlight not only technical skills but abilities to communicate solutions to challenging problems.
We recommend giving yourself at least 1 week for the application process to learn how to use AIP and create a demo. Demo submissions will be due on April 25th, 2025. Submissions after this date, will not be considered.
