You will serve as a technology and product expert focusing on three areas of engagement: clients, sales, and product. You have a deep understanding of client workflows and the full suite of Bloomberg Industry Group solutions. You are customer facing, collaborating closely with the sales and service teams and other teams across the company, to build and execute strategies that drive revenue and retention. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop a technology solution that meets those needs. You will serve as a technology advisor and have a deep understanding of INDG products and technology workflows that can support clients across multiple industries.
What you will do:
- Assistqualifying opportunities, primarily to help determine how a current customer or prospect's critical business requirements align withbusiness needs.
- Buildstrong relationships among internal stakeholders by providing insightful direction, options, and a plan for execution to improve productivity,competency,and revenue numbers.
- Coordinateeffortsto innovate, develop, and improvedemonstrationand presentation skills.
- Conducttechnology assessments of client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, discuss with clients, and present back their requirements.
- Work collectively with the sales team to map business and process requirements to clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Translate customer business processes and requirements into technical requirements for the implementation team.
- Develop proposals and work with project managers to present project plans to clients.
- Provide pre-sales support by working closely with sales across INDG.
- Manage and forecast pipeline on a weekly basis.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry practices and technology available for integration services for the accounting, tax, and legal business areas.
- Communicate product enhancements to Product Management teams across INDG as requested and identified by customers.
- Travel to client sites to meet with key stakeholders.
You need to have:
- 5yearsofexperience intechnology advisory services, tax, accounting, or finance; or a role in information systems or software development. Experience working in a consulting and pre-sale role for technology or professional services.
- Demonstrated track record of success in providing pre-sales support or consulting services to clients.
- Working knowledge or ability to learn basic tax, accounting, and legal workflows, to understand the problems that tax and legal professionals face and identify how INDG products can solve those customer challenges and improve processes.
- Knowledge of a wide range of technology solutions and tools.
- Experience with ETL tools, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and/or other data transformation tools to efficiently manipulate, format, and analyze data.
- Experience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, or other tax, finance, or legal applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in engaging customers for gathering detailed requirements, determining design alternatives, developing creative solutions, and validating designs.
- Strong customer service skills, and proven problem-solving ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and listening skills, to communicate effectively with external customers and internal teams.
