Business Solutions Analyst
Job ID: 638046639 Location: 2101 Ford Street,
Golden, CO 80401 About Lightpath Lightpath is building the fiber infrastructure the digital economy depends on - owning, operating, and expanding dense, high-performance networks for enterprises, public institutions, carriers, and cloud innovators. Our all-fiber network supports mission-critical environments, from financial markets and healthcare systems to AI platforms and next-generation cloud architectures. As we expand across the Northeast and into high-growth markets nationwide, we invest ahead of demand - building infrastructure with precision, resilience, and accountability. To support that growth, we're building a team of people who take ownership, think long-term, and take pride in tackling complex work with care and integrity. At Lightpath, every role contributes to infrastructure that powers critical systems and real-world outcomes. We look for individuals who value precision, accountability, and collaboration and who want to help build networks, processes, and partnerships that are engineered to last. Why This Role Exists * Our rapid sales growth is outpacing the processes and tools that support it. The constraint on scaling is the manual work, workarounds, and gaps that show up when a business grows faster than its tools and processes. * This role exists to close that gap, and to build the systems that let us keep scaling: automation, internal tools, analytics, and AI-driven solutions that change how the business actually runs. * The work will be AI-forward. Our belief is that we can move faster and build more impactful projects using the latest technologies. * The work is highly visible. What this person builds gets used - by cross-functional leaders and the executive team. The impact will be measurable in how much faster the business can move. * There's real latitude here. Several tools are already in flight and will be handed off early on to keep developing and pushing forward. From there, the expectation is to spot what needs building next and go build it. * Scope will shift as the business grows - that's the nature of the role, and the reason it stays interesting. Requirements * Demonstrated ability to build working things (coursework, internships, side projects, or early roles). Shipping something functional matters more than what you built it with. * Working fluency with agentic AI tooling, and the instinct to reach for it first. * Comfort in low-code / no-code environments, with the willingness to go deeper when a problem demands it. Foundational grasp of:
Ability to:
What We're Really Looking For * Growth Mindset - where they can get to in six months matters more than what they know on day one * Curiosity - asks "why" and "how could this be better?" * Ownership mentality - treats a handed-off project as theirs, not as someone else's work they're minding * Self-direction - brings their own ideas rather than working a queue * Problem solver - willing to step out of "their lane" to address business challenges * Coachability - takes feedback and applies it quickly What This Role Is Not * Not a software engineering role - not writing production code to spec * Not a traditional BA or reporting job - building the tools, not just documenting requirements for someone else to build * Not a maintenance seat - inheriting a prototype or early-stage idea means developing it forward * Not a role with fixed scope This role is for someone who wants to build things that actually get used - and to develop the commercial judgment to know which things are worth building. Not one or the other. This position follows a hybrid work model, with a required in-office presence at our Golden, Colorado office. Candidates must be able to commute to the office as needed to meet the role's in-person requirements.
