QC / CWI - TVA Cumberland Outage

D&Z has an immediate opening for an experienced QC/CWI. Duration is mid December.

Position Summary

The QC/CWI ensures that welding and fabrication activities meet project quality requirements and industry standards through inspection, documentation, and verification.

• Key Responsibilities
  
• Perform visual inspections of welds and verify compliance with codes and specifications.
  
• Review and approve weld procedures and welder qualifications.
  
• Monitor fabrication and installation for adherence to quality standards.
  
• Maintain inspection records and nonconformance reports.
  
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and client QA representatives.
  
• Participate in audits and corrective action processes.
  
• Support final turnover documentation and quality closeout.
  

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred. 5+ years of experience in quality control or welding inspection. AWS-CWI certification required.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of ASME and AWS codes. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to interpret weld symbols, drawings, and procedures.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000- $144,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
