Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an experienced Contract Packaging Procurement Lead to join our Outsourced Finished Goods team, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and External Operations. This role requires a proven ability to manage supplier relationships, assess cost drivers, and create business value through strategic supplier partnerships.

The successful candidate will use analytics, market insights, and sound business judgment to make data-driven decisions, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and lead procurement, cost optimization, and supplier performance initiatives. This individual will also drive process improvements by identifying and implementing solutions that streamline workflows, reduce risk, improve decision quality, and enhance the overall efficiency of the contract packaging procurement function.

Location: Seeking candidates in Atlanta, GA or Green Bay, WI area with ability to travel up to 20% (including overnight stays).

What You Will Do

  • Lead and execute contract packaging bid events, driving supplier engagement, proposal evaluation, commercial negotiations, and supplier selection to deliver optimal business outcomes.
  • Analyze labor, material, and market cost trends to validate supplier price change requests, identify cost drivers, and negotiate outcomes that align with contractual commitments and business objectives.
  • Independently, identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify co-pack bid execution, improve decision quality, and reduce administrative burden. Leverage business acumen to influence and gain alignment with category leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and leverage data analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide actionable insights and influence sourcing, operational, and financial decisions.
  • Partner with Packaging Engineering, Supply Planning, Quality, and Direct Materials Sourcing to align requirements, define co-pack project scope, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Utilize data analytics and industry experience to uncover cost savings opportunities, optimize sourcing strategies, and improve the efficiency of the contract packaging network.
  • Assess co-packer performance and commercial accuracy through activities such as cost analysis, time studies, and production reviews, using findings to negotiate and implement improvements.
  • Partner with Contract Packaging Operations to lead commercialization efforts, aligning stakeholders and driving results through influence rather than direct authority to ensure successful product launches.
  • Advance Principle Based Management (PBM) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in supplier management, contract packaging, or procurement.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Experience managing supplier bid processes and vendor relationships.
  • Experience using data analytics and market intelligence to develop product should-cost models and support pricing decisions.
  • Experience taking the lead, sharing knowledge, connecting others to a broader vision, and influencing decisions through subject matter expertise.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Supplier relationship management experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Experience leading process transformation initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
