Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) Directorate of Science & Technology. This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill, AFB, FL.
Responsibilities
* Support government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of program execution based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirements. * Updates and maintains status of S&T projects and provides decision quality information, recommendations, and status briefings to leadership on assigned programs and projects. * Supports contract modification and makes technical recommendations for change order approval. * Supports budget control directly supporting programmatic efforts. * Provides decision support inputs for Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals, project proposals, Broad Area Announcement Reviews, Technical Reviews schedules, cost estimates, cost proposals, and general studies. * Applies advanced tools to document and analyze the results of critical, complex activities and tasks. * Plans, executes, and documents surveillance of contract execution on behalf of government counterparts, using performance indicators identified in applicable acquisition and programmatic surveillance processes. * Provides expert level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution. * Analyzes trends in performance indicators to assist government counterparts with managing Agency level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of processes. * Knowledge of Ability to conduct price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position. * Ability to properly apply funding rules associated with the obligation of multiple types of appropriations.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI.
Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency IAW the PWS (DAWIA level II equivalent), and in the Program Management, Engineering, Science and Technology (S&T) or Test and Evaluation fields.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Accounting, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field.
Years of Experience: 10 years working in Federal Government acquisition programs, including:
* Exceptional expertise in the execution of Federal/DoD acquisition programs. * Significant experience developing Statements of Work, reviewing contracts, and conducting technical reviews. * Significant experience in managing acquisition funding from budget development to obligation of funds.
