Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages all company tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and two truck shops.

2. Hire, trains, and supervises mechanics.

3. Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules for all company trucks/equipment.

4. Manages 100 straight trucks and 180 tractor trailers.

5. Coordinates and prioritizes cost effective truck/equipment repair.

6. Ensures with DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance, record keeping and reporting.

7. Maintenance and reporting of fleet costs.

8. Manages acquisitions and disposal processes.

Job Specifications

1. 5+ years fleet management experience is required.

2. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

3. Knowledge of basic mechanics and operation of tractor trailers and straight trucks.

4. Excellent PC skills are required.

5. Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.

Working Conditions

1. Office and shop environment.

2. Ability to lift parts and materials

3. Some travel required
