Veterinary Research Specialist - Center for Zoonosis Research

• Diagnostics and vaccine development using advanced modern technologies
• Manage the daily base operation of a veterinary diagnostic research development laboratory, including all safety compliance-related matters, lab supply/reagent orders, and inventory control

PhD degree in virology, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering or a closely related field. At least four years of experience in molecular virology, vaccine and diagnostic assay development.

Training in animal disease research is strongly preferred. The preferred candidate will have a track record of publications, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task, and work cooperatively with other lab members.

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/18/2026. The budgeted annual salary for the position is $50,000. Final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints.
