Location: Tempe, AZ
Employment Type: Temp (12 months)
Industry: Aerospace & Defense
Compensation: $21.50/hour.
Schedule: 5 am - 5 pm - Compressed Shift 1A (Sunday - Tuesday; Every other Wednesday)
About the Opportunity:
  • We're looking for an Assembler to operate and oversee tube processing stations, vacuum systems, and electronic equipment used to manufacture intensifier tube components.
  • In this hands-on role, you'll carefully load and unload fragile components, perform exhaust processing, and monitor equipment to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are consistently achieved.
  • You'll follow established procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and use analytical data to make informed decisions throughout the manufacturing process.

What You'll Do:
  • Operate tube processing stations and associate vacuum and electronic equipment while carefully handling fragile components and finished products.
  • Perform exhaust processing and monitor results to meet established quality, yield, and production goals.
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities to support reliable equipment performance.
  • Follow procedures and work instructions while maintaining product quality and sufficient inventory to meet customer requirements.
  • Interpret data from analytical and diagnostic equipment to make sound, fact-based process decisions.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience reading drawings/blueprints/work instructions.
  • 4+ years of experience operating computers (Microsoft Office).
  • 4+ years of experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
What Sets You Apart:
  • Associate Degree.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing work experience.
  • Previous experience with ultra-high vacuum technology or semiconductor processing (OJT provided).
  • Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-driven to complete goals and tasks.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment will PPE.
  • Ability to wear required PPE to fulfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses.
  • Use hand tools, spot welders, microscopes, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products using detailed documented procedures (repetitive hand work).
