Position Summary/Essential Functions:

The Assembler Team Lead- OE Assembly will report to the area Supervisor/Manager and will perform tasks related to all the work areas. This person will be expected to be a working lead and take on a leadership role within the Danville Site Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team members in day-to-day operations including work assignments serving as the initial point of contact for problem solving for each OE Assembly work area.
  • Working team leader that directly works within the manufacturing operations.
  • Self-directed and flexible in the performance of job duties.
  • Train new work area team members through on the job training.
  • Lead and support work processes that support Continuous Improvement, eliminate waste and ensure high levels of Safety, Quality, and Productivity within the work area.
  • Work effectively with other departments maintaining strong internal Customer/Supplier relationships as well with all members of the MABSKY management team and other company representatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment that will ensure the safety and general welfare of employees at all times.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance of specific standard operating procedures and requirements as well as product identification requirements in the work area.
  • Support all facility and company wide goals, objectives and initiatives.
  • Lead the daily stand up communications with team members (TIB) for the work cell/area.
  • Maintain updated information on the TIB board.
  • Perform other task as assigned by the area Supervisor/Manager.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Certifications: None

Years of Experience: 3 years of more of relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Keen ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills to lead activities of the assembly area.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures.
  • Skilled problem-solver: Exercises judgement based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • Able to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
