Milliken's Highland Plant, located inCheraw, SC has an immediate need to hire for a "Circular Knitting Operator", to run industrial knitting machines, that make rolls of fabric used in various applications by our customers.At this time, the department is working 40 hours per week on average; we have one opening, on second shift (4pm to 12am). We are customer order driven and hours/number of days per week can change. Shift changes for open positions after hire are made by seniority. Position Summary: This position is mainly responsible for making rolls of circular knitted fabric, by creeling the knitting machines, wrapping the feeders, and keeping the machines running at all times. Quality is critical, and you must visually inspect the fabric as it is being produced on the machine and look for any defects. You will doff rolls at specified time/size and maintain any records or reports as required. Housekeeping is important to quality and requires that you keep yarn, creels, machines, fabric and the work area clean at all times. Complete the required paperwork such as filling out tickets and attaching them to a roll of fabric..This is a 2nd Shift position from 4PM - 12AM.
