Position and Responsibilities
As an Expeditor/Procurement Specialist with Middough you will be assigned to work at a client's facility in Delaware, OH, to expedite the purchase, delivery, storage, tracking, and change order for large equipment and other material purchased for the client site.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Expedite significant large equipment and materials purchases from RFP through delivery to the site.
  • Establish and track materials and equipment storage.
  • Work with the client and company purchasing system to input requisitions and change orders.
  • Work with the client Project Manager to create project financial and materials reports.

Education, Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management or Business highly preferred but not required.
  • 15-20 years of purchasing experience within the Supply Chain, Engineering, or Construction Management industry.
  • Ideally the candidate will have experience working within CapEx projects. Alternatively, experience in procurement or supply chain management in the following industries will also be considered: Food, Agri-business, Chemicals, Refining, Oil & Gas, or Pharma.
  • Experience setting up procurement schedules and are familiar with both engineering and construction activities.
  • Knowledge of principles and concepts of procurement as they relate to budgeting, monitoring, and tracking actual costs, change orders and forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) concepts and one or more Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Awareness of MS Project and Primavera schedules.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities for efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Frequently use up-close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • May be exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as climbing ladders and/or stairs, extreme heat and/or cold, and/or poor air quality) when on-site at a client facility. Noise levels may be moderate to high at various client sites, hearing protection may be required and/or provided. Safety protections provided by the client and/or company are required to be used and followed.
  • Will require car or air travel to other company locations or client sites.
  • This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence and auto insurance coverage.
  • Overtime (weekdays, weekends and/or holidays) may be necessary based on client project workload requirements.
