Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Johnston, IA 50131 Duration: 2+ Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance) Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Job Description: The client is seeking a research contractor to join the Johnston Sampling team. Sampling team leads the upfront sample submission and processing for all projects going through genotyping. This involves collaboration with internal and external partners with an owner's mindset. Responsibilities include: Ensure that all material necessary for sampling is prepared properly, on time, and in a safe manner. Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seed or samples. Remain compliant with regulatory as well as company requirements. Operate proprietary equipment. Continually look for process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions. Take actions to ensure good laboratory practices are followed. Prioritize workload requirements and exercise good time management to ensure all work is completed on time. Perform physical, repetitive tasks of the job. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
