Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

$3,005.92 to $3,306.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work administering and managing computer servers and databases. This work involves relevant skills in disaster recovery, backup and restore, change management, and performance management. Supervision is given to technical personnel.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related fieldPLUS three (3) to five (5) years of experience in systems administration;OR Bachelor's degree in a relative computer related field PLUS two (2) years of experience as a Brevard County Senior Systems Administrator PLUS a minimum of a 4.0 overall score on current performance evaluation AND successful completion and testing of the first phase of the County's Employee Development Program. Must have experience with the following: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and up; Virtualized Environments; Enterprise Backup Software; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft Active Directory; Group Policy administration; DNS administration; Basic LAN/WAN configuration; and Exchange/Microsoft 365 administration. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in GIS Server Administration; Symantec AV or other similar; Cisco UCS or similar blade server systems; NetApp SAN storage devices; Microsoft PowerShell; SSL Certificate renewal and management is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess or obtain within nine (9) months of employment, a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Training and Certification. Must be able to respond to Information Technology (IT) related issues at night and on weekends and holidays, when necessary. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.



This position is not eligible for remote work.
