Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 1 year of professional level human resources experience advising on job descriptions with hiring managers or assisting with the development of a job description.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in an HRIS (HCM) system * Experience working within a classification structure * Preferred experience working within the University of Colorado Anschutz university staff structure * Experience utilizing AI tools to streamline productivity, with a strong ability to refine outputs through iterative prompting * Experience in medical or higher education recruitment * Certification in selection or job evaluation from the State of Colorado or other professional HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, IPMA, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP). We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future. * Work a Hybrid Schedule: On-campus presence is required for a minimum of two (2) days on campus in the HR office suite. * Sit or stand for extended periods while working in office settings. * Standard shared office environment with open or semi-open workspaces. Employees should expect background noise, nearby conversations, shared equipment use, and occasional odors (e.g. food, cleaning products). The environment may involve frequent interruptions, requiring the ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a collaborative space. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges. * Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy. * Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. * Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. * Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. * Analytical and critical thinking skills. * Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. * Ability to actively listen and share relevant information, anticipate problems, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and work effectively with internal and external constituents to satisfy service expectations. * Must possess a professional demeanor and have experience that demonstrates problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. |
