The Department of Community Practice at MU School of Medicine is looking for a PRN Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care or Physician Assistant Specialty Care to join our Urgent Care team in Jefferson City, MO. Join a team dedicated to creating outstanding healthcare experiences - in an acute setting. Our ideal candidate will have excellent diagnostic skills with strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

The department of Community Practice at MU Capital Region Medical Center is a full-service health care system that encompasses a full-service acute care hospital, the area's most expansive clinic system, a state-of-the-art Cancer Program at the Goldschmidt Cancer Center, a hospital-based fitness facility, home health agency and the only hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation center in the community. The hospital has 100 acute care beds and 14 rehabilitation beds. Referrals come from our 140+ employed providers who staff a system of 36 clinics in an 8-county service area of 225K people.

As a community minded organization, the department of Community Practice at MU Capital Region Medical Center consistently strives to provide access to the latest in technology and advancements in health care to our patients. MU Capital Region Medical Center is the only facility in Jefferson City to offer Robotic Surgery and was the first to be a designated stroke center. Shift

Shifts and hours will vary based on department needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

NP: Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program. Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $60.00 - $70.00 hourly
Grade: PAT - 012
University Title: NURSE PRACTITIONER SC
