Summary

Electrical Technicians responsible for executing plant electrical related projects that are requested through our company CMMS system. Responsibilities also include the timely repair and preventative maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment in the plant. We are looking for skilled technicians with experience in managing the ongoing electrical projects and electrical related preventative maintenance. Qualified applicants must possess tangible experience in troubleshooting mechanical / electrical breakdowns in manufacturing production equipment and proper execution of new electrical installs as per the NEC and NFPA-70E. Technicians must follow all established safety, GMP`s and environmental standards and adhere to all plant technical standards. Technicians must also comply with all federal, state, local and company regulations including, OSHA, FDA, EPA and SQF.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other industrial control platforms.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on coffee roasting, grinding, conveying, blending, packaging, and brewing equipment.
  • Support electrical systems associated with coffee bean receiving, storage silos, pneumatic conveying systems, bucket elevators, and dust collection systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot coffee grinders, roasters, cooling systems, destoners, and flavor dosing equipment.
  • Support automated packaging equipment including form-fill-seal machines, baggers, weighers, checkweighers, metal detectors, case packers, palletizers, labelers, and stretch wrappers.
  • Maintain coffee brewing and extraction systems used for concentrate production, including pumps, heat exchangers, filtration systems, CIP systems, and instrumentation.
  • Ensure operation of electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and PLC).
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering guidelines.
  • Implement plant electrical related projects in a professional manner that meets electrical standards and regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical equipment and control panels.
  • Adhere to NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, as well as the Chobani electrical maintenance program.
  • Utilize plant computerized maintenance management system for creating, editing, and completing work orders.
  • Install repair parts or additions for process as necessary.
  • Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Must be available for on-call coverage during off-hours and weekends, as needed.
Requirements

The requirements of this position include:

  • Strong knowledge of 24VDC, 120VAC, 208VAC, 240VAC, 480VAC, and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic, and control drawings.
  • Experience with motor control centers (MCCs), disconnects, breakers, contactors, overloads, and transformers.
  • High school Diploma, GED
  • 2-year Technical Trade school certification, military applicable certifications, vocational training, Journeyman License preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food production / manufacturing environment operating, repairing and/or troubleshooting issues on filling, packaging and other processing equipment. Previous food or beverage industry experience preferred

The salary range for this full-time position is$29.50-$42.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
