Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme's focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder's original recipe. The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line. We're looking for a sharp, curious, commercially minded analyst to join our team. This isn't a back-office data role - it's a seat at the table. You'll work at the intersection of sales, demand planning and commercial strategy, turning complex data into clear recommendations and following them all the way through to execution. If you're the kind of person who hunts things down, asks the next question and isn't satisfied until the insight is in someone's hands, this role was built for you. A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Commercial and Sales Performance
- Review sales performance at both macro and micro level - identifying under-performing segments and doors, pinpointing the root causes, and driving a clear improvement plan.
- Monitor total portfolio performance and key segments; build weekly and monthly scorecards drawing from multiple data sources including Circana/IRI, Luminate, Retail Link and OAC.
- Analyse pricing and trade promotion performance to assess ROI and inform future programme decisions.
- Ability to set up and analyze tests (identify test/control markets, key KPIs, etc.)
- Develop a solid understanding of how our commercial sales function operates - from how we go to market through to how performance is tracked and rewarded - so your analysis is always grounded in commercial reality.
Demand Planning
- Partner with the demand planning team to identify sales opportunities and flag risks before they hit the P&L.
- Analyse demand planning tests and trials - evaluating results, drawing conclusions and making clear recommendations on next steps.
- Monitor new item performance, promotional events, seasonal timing and KPIs - flagging anomalies early and connecting the dots between demand signals and commercial outcomes.
Insights and Recommendations
- Independently identify trends and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations - not just observations.
- Follow through on those recommendations: work cross-functionally to align stakeholders, support implementation and track outcomes.
- Craft concise, visually compelling presentations that land with senior audiences and drive decisions.
Reporting and Data Management
- Build, maintain and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards - not just navigating existing ones but designing new ones that give the business clearer visibility.
- Consolidate and cleanse large datasets into formats that are easy to interpret and act on.
- Support the customer and category business review process; lead category presentations at assigned customer meetings.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: Essential
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial analyst, sales analyst or similar role within a consumer goods or retail environment.
- A solid grounding in sales or a commercial sales function - you understand how sales organisations work and what drives performance.
- Detailed knowledge of Power BI and building dashboards from scratch to help improve performance understanding and navigating existing reports to extract meaningful insight.
- Strong data skills: experienced in consolidating and cleansing large datasets and making them work harder.
- Proven ability to go beyond the numbers - turning analysis into clear recommendations and seeing them through cross-functionally.
- Experience with retail data platforms such as Circana/IRI, Luminate, Retail Link or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Marketing or a related field.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience working alongside or within a demand planning function.
- A self-starter mentality - you don't wait to be told what to look for. You go hunting, follow the thread and surface insights others miss.
- Genuine intellectual curiosity: you ask the next question, dig deeper and aren't satisfied with "the data shows X" without understanding why.
- Experience in CPG, food and beverage, or a high-velocity retail environment.
- Strong presentation skills - comfortable in front of senior stakeholders and in customer meetings.
- A track record of influencing decisions, not just informing them.
