Summary: This position in the Emergency Department is creating clinical emergency department schedule for providers for two locations.. The duties of this position include tracking physician/APP work schedules (on call pay, extra service pay, medical records and other database tracking, and survey completion ( AACEM, ACEP, SAEM, etc). This is a key position in the department which interfaces with various University and UNC Healthcare personnel as well as over 150 department personnel. This position works in collaboration with Faculty scheduler, Business officer and ACA on various department projects and duties in the department. Using ECRT's will determine if all faculty and staff are being paid appropriately from grants and contracts and will notify FiRST team in a timely manner of changes that need to be made to personnel and salary sources to align with approved grant budgets. This position will create and manage the compensation plan for faculty in accordance with policies and procedures in School of Medicine. Will be solely responsible for calculating clinical FTE ( cFTE) information and using that data to determine emergency department clinical shifts for ED providers. Tracking research and clinical hours will be adjusted on a quarterly basis. All research buyouts are then calculated into cFTE for production of schedule. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of administration from co-workers to faculty. Must be team oriented to ensure missions of department of Emergency Medicine as well as UNC hospitals, UNC faculty Physicians and UNC School of Medicine are met. Teamwork in this position is essential as they communicate with a range of departments and employees. While this position is primarily a hybrid day shift, this position requires flexibility during last stage of schedule creation given that physicians are staffed 24/7. Maybe require evening and weekend work occasionally. Ideal candidate will be self-starter, highly organized and detailed oriented. Responsibilities: 1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for comprehensive data analysis and reporting for assigned areas. Creates visually compelling charts and diagrams showing prior, current, and projected operational needs and costs to support senior leadership decisions. Provides actionable recommendations regarding discrepancies. Shares detailed reports with senior leadership, highlighting key insights and trends.
