Overview/Function: DrinkLAB (DL), a subsidiary of Atlantic Bottling Company, specializes in distributing beverages, snacks, and fresh and frozen food items to customers. The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new vending and micro market accounts. This position involves prospecting potential clients, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, preparing tailored proposals, and managing projects through to successful onboarding. The ideal candidate will represent our brands with professionalism and ensure clients view us as a trusted partner for their breakroom solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities across offices, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and other commercial locations, including leads provided by the Atlantic Bottling FSOP Team.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine optimal vending or micro market setups.
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and pricing packages.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects using VIP-KARMA.
- Attend networking events, chamber meetings, and trade shows to promote the DrinkLAB brand.
- Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new accounts.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with new accounts, ensuring equipment is presentable and product offerings remain relevant.
- Other related duties as required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in vending, food service, or route-based industries.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with facility managers, company HR leaders, and business owners.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close sales deals.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have a satisfactory driving record and meet company insurance eligibility requirements.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIMME and EoStar preferred.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer locations (up to 75% regional day travel).
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Regular, consistent attendance is essential.
Additional Information:
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and occasional lifting of items over 55 lbs.
- Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work.
- The role will travel to various customer sites, as a result each environment will vary.
- This position requires regular standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climb stairs. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move items over 55 lbs. Some manual finger, hand, and arm dexterity, and potentially work around cramped and tight spaces will be needed.
- Extensive day travel is required with this role (up to 75% of the time) to customer sites.
