Role Overview

Perform installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across Hitachi's facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring they are in compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate electrical system layout and installation procedures.

  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices, diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs or replacements.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols.

  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex electrical issues.

  • May be required to perform on-call duties or work overtime as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training.

  • Valid Electrician's license or certification as required by local and national regulations.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical safety standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and equipment.

  • Familiarity with various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
