Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$194,800. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table chrome-extension: meaningful link text Application Window Open date: July 1, 2026 Next review date: Saturday, Aug 1, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jun 30, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Specialist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of California, Irvine. These are typically grant-funded positions under the sponsorship of various faculty members (https://www.icts.uci.edu/). The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with biomedical or translational research experience strongly preferred. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Appointments are based on performance and availability of funding. Junior Specialist rank - Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience Qualifications Basic qualifications

Junior Specialist - Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience. Assistant Specialists -Appointees to the Assistant rank should possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree), or five years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Associate Specialist - should possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Associate Specialists are normally expected to have a record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published or inpress research in the field and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service. Specialist - should possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Specialists at full rank are normally expected to have a significant record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published or in-press research in the field, professional recognition in the field, and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service.
