As a Security Officer Shopping Center Bike Patrol in La Habra, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, strong observation, and teamwork. Position Type: Full Time / Day Shift

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions to site management and/or local responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, storefront corridors, and/or high-traffic public areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate observations through appropriate reporting channels.
• Support access control and closing procedures as assigned, including checking doors, gates, and/or restricted areas and documenting security-related activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to ride a bike is required.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
