Overview
SCCI is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in support of a Weapon System Program. In this position you will provide direct support to rapid acquisition and tactical prototyping projects. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the engineering design teams, as well as with end-users, management, and sponsors throughout the design, integration and iterative test of prototypes and tactical systems. This position is located at in Dahlgren, VA.

- Perform risk management analyses ensuring program compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Develop Systems Engineering and Risk Management briefings and documents, such as Risk Analysis status updates
- Perform and support hazard analyses and system accreditation
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical hazards
- Perform requirements derivation, allocation, and management for a weapon control system and external interfaces
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, end users, testers, analysts and system instructors, to ensure user requirements are captured and addressed through iterative system design
- Provide inputs and subject matter expertise to engineering and configuration management activities, to include design and review boards, working groups, and integrated product teams
- Coordinate proposed system changes with internal and external organizations
- Evaluate system and subsystem requirements and design for cost/schedule/performance impacts and provide project leadership with recommendations for project planning and execution
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience performing risk analysis
- Experience analyzing requirements, regulations, operations, design, and security
- Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documents
- Attention to detail in project documentation for content, formatting, consistency, and grammar
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, multitask, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with relevant DoD Systems Engineering and design instructions and standards
- Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Demonstrated experience working with engineers, HW / SW developers, and management to gather necessary documentation, requirements, security, and safety information
- Experience with Requirements, Configuration Control, and Workflow Management and Modeling tools, such as DOORS, Jira, SharePoint, SysML or Serena
