Position Summary

phia is seeking a Lead Salesforce Architect to serve as the design authority and technical anchor for a dedicated 6-7 person team delivering Salesforce DevSecOps support services to a Federal agency customer. You already operate at the architect tier - holding the Application Architect and System Architect credentials - and you're ready to step into a lead role while phia invests in getting you across the finish line to CTA.

Working alongside AutoRABIT product engineers, you will own end-to-end Salesforce technical architecture across the engagement - release management, security posture, integration, identity, and platform scaling - and ensure the AutoRABIT suite (ARM, CodeScan, Guard) is operationalized to meet Federal compliance and mission requirements. This is an embedded design-authority role: setting standards, brokering tradeoffs between mission velocity and Federal governance, and mentoring a team of senior Salesforce engineers.

The CTA Sponsorship (What Makes This Different)

phia will fund and support your Salesforce CTA Review Board attempt as part of this role:

  • Exam funding: phia covers the Architect Review Board Evaluation and the Technical Architect Review Board Exam ( $6,000), with support for a retake if needed.
  • Prep & mentorship: Dedicated study time, mock review-board sessions, and mentorship as you build toward the board.
  • Real-world reps: The engagement itself - enterprise architecture, security, integration, CI/CD - is exactly the experience the CTA board tests.

In return we ask for a reasonable commitment to remain with phia through and after the funded attempt (terms in the offer).

What You'll Do

  • Lead Salesforce Architecture:Own the architectural roadmap - org strategy, sandbox architecture, integration patterns, identity (SSO/OAuth), data architecture, and platform scalability.
  • Drive AutoRABIT Operationalization: Define the reference architecture for ARM CI/CD pipelines, CodeScan SAST integration, and Guard security posture management; establish quality gates, branching strategies, and release governance.
  • Govern FedRAMP/FISMA Compliance: Translate NIST 800-53 controls, VA Handbook requirements, and FedRAMP Moderate baselines into auditable Salesforce configurations and DevSecOps practices.
  • Lead Technical Reviews: Run architecture review boards, design reviews, and code/configuration reviews; serve as escalation point for complex platform issues.
  • Mentor the Team: Uplift 5-6 senior Salesforce engineers through formal mentorship, design walk throughs, and architectural knowledge transfer.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent phia and the technical solution to client leadership, AutoRABIT product engineering, and partners; translate technical concepts into mission outcomes.

Who You Are

  • Architect-Tier (REQUIRED): You hold ACTIVE Salesforce Application Architect AND Salesforce System Architect credentials - the two credentials directly below CTA and the exact prerequisites for the CTA Review Board. Candidates without both will not be considered.
  • CTA-Bound: You want to earn the CTA and are ready to commit to a company-sponsored attempt.
  • Senior Practitioner: 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including 3+ years in an architect-level role on enterprise-scale (multi-org, 500+ users) implementations.
  • DevSecOps Mastery: Deep experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX), Metadata API, source-driven development, Git workflows, and modern CI/CD using AutoRABIT, Copado, Gearset, or Flosum.
  • Security & Compliance: Hands-on platform security in a regulated environment (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI); NIST 800-53 control mapping strongly preferred.
  • Federal Experience (Preferred): Prior support to a Federal Civilian agency, DoD, or IC is strongly preferred.
