Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while performing desk-based compliance, documentation, and administrative work, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse facilities, truck yards, and operational areas during audits, inspections, and incident investigations. The role may require occasional lifting of materials, binders, or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as bending, stooping, or kneeling when reviewing freight, placarding, or vehicle documentation in the field. The incumbent must have sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to review shipping documents, labels, and markings on hazardous materials packaging. Travel to field locations, customer sites, and company terminals may be required on a regular basis. Work Environment This position operates across a variety of work environments, including a standard office setting, active truck yards, and warehouse or freight handling facilities. While performing duties in operational areas, the incumbent may be exposed to varying weather conditions, loud noise, diesel fumes, vehicle traffic, and the presence of hazardous materials in transport. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when entering certain operational areas, and the incumbent is expected to adhere to all applicable safety protocols and site-specific procedures at all times. This role may require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call availability to respond to hazardous materials incidents or time-sensitive compliance matters. For this position, the expected base pay range is $24 - $28 an hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
