Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Research is looking for a dedicated Manager, ISHV Research Program to join the Team. This full-time role will be day-shift working Monday - Friday located in Falls Church, VA. The Manager, ISHV Research Program supervises staff in carrying out complex research activities and producing research deliverables. Ensures that the department remains compliant with all applicable regulations while managing the financial and academic portfolio. Manager, ISHV Research Program Responsibilities:
- Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
- Ensures all program research studies are in compliance and functioning appropriately.
- Ensures appropriate educational information is made available on Inova's public website for research purposes.
- Initiates corrective action plans, as required, to maintain compliance with Inova policies.
- Develops and oversees research study budget, negotiation and implementation to ensure selected research studies have an adequate subject population and will result in financially and academically productive research.
- Provides reporting to include financial/academic productivity and compliance updates on the research program.
- Supervises research program staff in carrying out complex research activities and producing research deliverables.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 3 years of clinical research experience and project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with regulatory, budgeting, compliance, and site-base research preferred.
- Two or more years of people leader experience preferred.
- Clinical trial experience preferred.
