**Key Responsibilities**



  • Develop, enhance, and provide robust support for SQL-based batch jobs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Build and maintain efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data movement pipelines.
  • Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Support the execution, monitoring, and resolution of issues within batch processes.
  • Perform thorough root cause analysis for data discrepancies or job failures, implementing lasting solutions.
  • Document batch packages, logic, and data flows to ensure clarity and maintainability.
  • Collaborate effectively with quality assurance teams, production support, and full-time engineering staff to deliver integrated solutions.


**Must-Have Qualifications**



  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in the development and support of batch processing packages.
  • Expertise in SQL Server, including:
  • Writing and optimizing complex queries.
  • Developing and maintaining stored procedures.
  • Performance tuning of SQL databases and queries.
  • Proven experience building and supporting SQL-based batch jobs.
  • Working knowledge of .NET / C# for backend or batch workflows.
  • Experience supporting scheduled and automated jobs in production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving batch failures and data issues.


**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**



  • Experience with various job schedulers.
  • Familiarity with legacy batch job environments.
  • Understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience within the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
