Temporary Position Summary
The CPS Energy Internship Program is designed to help meet the evolving workforce needs of the utility industry by providing San Antonio college students meaningful, hands-on experience paired with mentorship. The internship is structured to help the intern learn how work gets done in a professional environment, understand the rationale behind planning and governance practices, and build foundational skills that support career readiness. Applicants mustresidein the San Antonio Metropolitan area and be currently enrolled or recently graduated to qualify. The primary purpose of theEnergy Equityintern is to support thedevelopment of the Energy Equityprocess.This includes all business activities for CPS Energy in support of theEnergy EquityProcess, including integration and alignment with multiple areas of the enterprise.Responsibilities of this intern: include, but are not limited to, supportingSr.Manager,andprovidingenterprise andcustomerlevel services tofacilitatethe design, development, and implementation of theEnergy Equity program. Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline.
A minimum GPA of 2.5.
Must currently reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters.
Demonstrated leadership potential.
Self-motivated and results oriented.
Exceptional communication skills.
Effective networking skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate an interest in a career applicable to the utility industry.
Participate in full-time employment with CPS Energy.
