Project Manager of Operations SUMMARY: Responsible for driving and delivering operational business initiatives, processes, and program leadership. Develops and manages intake processes, ensures consistency in project management practices, develops project health scorecards, and delivers reporting to leadership. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Defines and maintains Project Management Office (PMO) processes and the overall project management approach for initiatives.
- Develops and manages work plans, including integrated plans across initiatives.
- Partners with key stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Establishes and tracks key performance metrics for project execution and reporting.
- Prepares and delivers regular status reports, including project health updates and monthly summaries.
- Monitors the effectiveness of actions taken and continuously improves program performance.
- Identifies, documents, and tracks project risks and issues.
- Manages cross-functional team risks and issues; escalates concerns as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains governance models, including stakeholder structures and meeting cadences.
- Identifies gaps and implements corrective or preventative action plans.
- Contributes to departmental efficiency by recommending improvements and actively participating in team initiatives.
- Promotes and supports the mission of Pace through professional, cooperative interactions with customers and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field; AND five (5) years of program or project management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge:
- Operational practices related to continuous improvement, process design, and systems effectiveness.
- Strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- Effective communication methods for working with staff, stakeholders, and customers.
- Techniques for influencing and driving behavioral or organizational change.
- Methods for delivering constructive feedback and supporting professional development.
- Principles and techniques for effective oral presentations.
- Relevant computer applications and systems.
- Proper business English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Techniques for interacting with diverse individuals in person and via telephone.

- Planning, organizing, and managing complex programs and projects.
- Developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
