Together We Can Do Great Things Every Person Matters This Is More Than A Job Position Overview The Business Travel & Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for generating guest room revenue through the development, solicitation, and management of Business Travel and Corporate Transient market segments. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, cultivating long-term client relationships, and maximizing hotel revenue through strategic account management and sales initiatives. The Business Travel & Corporate Sales Manager serves as a key ambassador for Monarch, representing the property within the local and national corporate community while delivering exceptional service and driving market share growth. What You'll Do Business Development & Account Management * Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting Business Travel and Corporate Transient market segments to maximize room revenue and market share * Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and secure new corporate accounts and negotiated rate agreements * Maintain and grow existing client relationships through regular communication, sales calls, networking events, and client entertainment activities * Conduct outside sales calls, presentations, site tours, and client meetings to generate new business opportunities * Develop annual account plans and strategies for key accounts to maximize production and revenue growth * Conduct regular account reviews and production analyses to identify opportunities for expansion and retention Revenue Generation & Market Analysis * Achieve and exceed individual sales goals, revenue targets, and account production objectives * Collaborate with Revenue Management to develop pricing strategies and negotiated corporate rate structures * Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and economic conditions impacting the corporate travel segment * Analyze account performance, booking patterns, and market intelligence to identify revenue opportunities * Assist in developing forecasts, budgets, and strategic sales initiatives for the corporate segment Client Relations & Representation * Represent Monarch at local and national industry events, trade shows, business associations, and networking functions * Build strong relationships with travel managers, corporate decision-makers, travel agencies, and key stakeholders * Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts and business travel partners * Ensure a seamless client experience from initial inquiry through ongoing account manageme * Work collaboratively with hotel operations teams to ensure guest expectations and contractual commitments are met Sales Administration & Reporting * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, account production, contracts, and client interactions within the hotel's CRM and sales systems * Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses * Ensure negotiated rates, contracts, and account information are properly communicated, loaded, and maintained within hotel systems * Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel services, amenities, room inventory, meeting space, and competitive positioning Collaboration & Leadership * Partner with Revenue Management, Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams to support account success and guest satisfaction * Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team on property-wide initiatives and revenue strategies * Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities * Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations * Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the role What You'll Bring Required Education & Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred * Minimum of 2-3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably within the Business Travel, Corporate Transient, or Corporate Group market segments * Experience within a luxury, lifestyle, or full-service hotel environment preferred * Knowledge of the San Antonio corporate market and surrounding business community preferred * Experience utilizing hotel CRM systems, Delphi, CI/TY, or similar sales platforms preferred Required Skills and Abilities * Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and revenue objectives * Strong relationship-building, networking, and business development skills * Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills * Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Ability to analyze market data, production reports, and revenue trends * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively * Strong customer service orientation and commitment to client satisfaction * Ability to travel locally and periodically throughout the United States as business needs require * Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards * Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and industry events * Strong commitment to service excellence, revenue growth, and operational success Zachry Hotels offers an industry leading benefits package for our employees and their families.
