Job Summary: The Sr. Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating transportation for the rental equipment. Is responsible for negotiating rates with outside vendors. Responsibilities: * Schedule transportation of equipment for all Rental locations in determining whether or not to use internal drivers and/or outside hauling when necessary to ensure equipment is delivered as expected. * Responsible for tracking, communicating and helping to control Rental Services costs for transportation. * Communicate with customers as to the location of shipments and if shipments are going to be running late. * Schedule transfers between Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula Michigan for Rental & Used departments. * Researches, evaluates, negotiates and determines the proper outside haulers to fill transportation needs. * Assist in the negotiation of new contracts with dedicated fleet companies. * Develop and assist Leadership Team to mold behaviors of Coordinators and Sales Team to maximize freight recovery. * Develop, improve and implement processes to help freight recovery numbers. * Develop and implement efficiencies while driving down overall transportation costs. * All other duties as assigned. | |
