Position Summary:

The Supervisor, Logistics is responsible for maintaining the process flow and all Receiving, Inventory, and Shipping transactions within the department, supporting Production and Assembly, and delegating responsibilities and instructions per the department Manager. This role requires 2+ years of Supply Chain experience and 1+ years of experience leading a team with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills. The Supervisor, Logistics will work collaboratively with departments including Quality, Sales, Engineering, and Assembly to ensure seamless coordination of Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead, coordinate, and participate in receiving, storage, packing, and/or order fulfillment operations.
  • Maintain daily put away, ensure cycle counting and picking are completed, shipments are processed, receipts are completed same day as received, and inter-org transfers are received.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy above 99% for all assigned sub inventory locations. Research and investigate any inventory discrepancies and work to ensure that future discrepancies are minimized.
  • Assign work to utilize available skills, knowledge, and experience, to the best advantages to obtain most favorable costs, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work levels, schedules, and training programs. Maintain conformance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide regular training, instruction, and guidance and maintain close surveillance over larger, more critical transfers, orders, or receipts. Ensure that training documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible to employees.
  • Ensure that all vendor interactions and logistics operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. Uphold adherence to company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on quality and accountability.
  • Lead safety initiatives within the warehouse, including training programs and the development of a proactive safety culture. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Analyze and diagnose problems and malfunctions to expedite and coordinate corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
  • Lead and actively volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required, typically requires 2+ years' experience with a proven track record in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field, and 1+ years of experience leading a team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have range access.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Oracle experience required.
  • Skilled in operating forklifts and machinery, resolving workflow issues, and maintaining strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Help in other parts of the team regularly. Work with and relay information to other departments regularly.
  • Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner and operate independently at a high level to identify and complete in a timely manner required tasks as dictated by business unit needs.
  • Communicate effectively to management regarding problems and able to offer solutions to complex problems and responsible for troubleshooting storage and workflow issues.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
