As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with local authorities and/or site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, deliveries, and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, reporting unusual behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing required reports, and following post orders related to equipment, key control, and sensitive areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Act 235 qualification for Pennsylvania only.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
