IMEG is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer in ideally Anaheim, CA with alternative offices in Ontario or Pasadena, CA, to lead design efforts for moderate to complex civil engineering projects and support the delivery of larger, high-complexity work with limited support from senior staff. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and client guidance while leading analysis, design, and implementation oversight for civil infrastructure and/or site plans. You'll also work within project budgets, support training and mentoring efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Principal Responsibilities * Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent tools to develop detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards
* Use and train others in civil engineering software related to traffic analysis, pipe networks, and other core design responsibilities
* Lead civil site design efforts and provide the project team with advanced technical oversight
* Partner with clients to understand project needs, gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong professional relationships
* Conduct in-process design reviews of civil infrastructure designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence
* Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs and solutions meet IMEG standards, industry standards, and client requirements
* Provide technical training, mentoring, and assistance in resolving field issues with limited support from senior staff
* Stay current on civil engineering trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG
* Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all engineering work, including interpreting and applying state and local design criteria to project needs
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
* Train, mentor, and motivate staff
* Participate in project interviews and project presentations

Required Qualifications and Skills * Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
* Professional Engineer (PE) License required
* 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
* Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
* Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills for civil infrastructure.
* Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
* Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
* Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

State of California Salary Range: $116,000 - $163,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
