About the Role

Sensitron Semiconductor is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our engineering team. This mid-level position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through validation and production-while contributing to high-reliability power electronics solutions used in demanding environments such as aerospace, defense, and industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test analog and power electronic circuits, including AC-DC and DC-DC conversion systems
  • Perform component selection, schematic capture, and support PCB layout activities with attention to EMI, thermal performance, and reliability
  • Conduct circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE-based tools) and analyze performance under varying electrical and environmental conditions
  • Develop and execute validation and qualification test plans, including worst-case analysis and derating
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues at the board and system level, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Support transition from prototype to production, including documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing support
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes
  • Interface with customers for product deployment
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3-7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong foundation in analog circuit design and power electronics
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium or similar)
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers
  • Working knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and mitigation techniques
  • Ability to debug circuits and systems methodically
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing for high-reliability applications (e.g., aerospace, military, or medical)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD or IPC guidelines
  • Experience with thermal analysis and magnetic component selection
  • Exposure to digital control of power converters (e.g., microcontrollers or DSPs)
  • Understanding of isolation techniques and high-voltage design considerations
  • Experience developing embedded firmware and/or PC-based tools (e.g., C/C++, Python, or C#), including simple GUI applications for test, control, or data visualization
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and bonuses
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge, mission-critical technologies
