Job Description




As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coordinator in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, checking credentials when required, and reporting unusual behavior and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support daily operations by documenting incidents, completing routine reports, and assisting with directions, escorts, and other customer service needs across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Require 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
