Overview
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Science and Technology, the Vice President, Infrastructure Strategy and Architecture will oversee VNS Health's IT infrastructure and service desk to provide a stable and scalable environment to support the current and future needs of the organization. Functions as part of the IT Leadership team and is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing the technology infrastructure strategy to support business objectives. Establishes, formulates, and operates technology-based strategies/solutions aimed at keeping VNS Health functioning and on the forefront of IT innovation. Maintains awareness of developments in information technology, services, security, computer hardware, as well as acquisition and implementation of new services, solutions and hardware and keeps VNS Health aware of future trends and techniques. What You Will Do:
- Participates in the development and implementation of IT strategic mid- to long-range strategic planning with IT leadership. Ensures IT Infrastructure strategies are aligned with IT and VNS Health strategic goals.
- Keeps abreast of new and trending infrastructure technology strategies to ensure VNS Health remains at the forefront of change and innovation. Provides recommendations to senior leadership on emerging technologies. Conducts competitive analysis and provides "best in class" cost effective solutions, including analysis of purchase systems, hardware and software, or the internal design and development of hardware and software systems.
- Serves as strategic liaison for key IT Infrastructure organizational initiatives between business units and their customers, both internal and external as needed.
- Provides technical advice and process guidance during the creation and implementation of all phases of the overall IT Infrastructure vision.
- Promotes and oversees the strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external partners, entities and vendor organizations which provide managed services to VNS Health.
- Manages vendors related to infrastructure including selection, negotiation, management, and termination.
- Manages the IT Infrastructure budget and vendor invoicing. Monitors ongoing vendor costs and provides budget forecasting for IT Infrastructure.
- Establishes enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture principles, standards, and reference models
- Oversees rationalization and simplification of complex, legacy environments.
- Promotes cloud-native and hybrid architectures that support business agility.
- Collaborates with IT leadership to devise and implement the IT infrastructure framework and processes for the organization.
- Develops policies and structures for managing the IT infrastructure, including all VNS Health computers, servers, peripherals, network, telecommunication systems and support for these and other technology services.
- Ensures that all IT assets are functioning in accordance with determined service level agreements for local and remote staff as well as the extended workforce.
- Collaborates with the Technology Governance to manage and oversee all IT partnerships which include vendors, suppliers, and outsourcing agencies to buy IT assets and ensure the efficient running of the IT infrastructure.
- Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role. Ensures effective staff training, evaluates staff performance, provides input for the development of the department budget, and hires, promotes and terminates staff and recommends salary actions as appropriate.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in technology, with a strong focus on infrastructure, cloud,
- and platform architecture.
- 10 or more years in Vice President or equivalent senior executive roles, leading enterprise-
- scale technology organizations or major functions.
- Track record of leading large-scale digital and infrastructure transformations in complex
- environments.
- Experience operating in highly regulated, large, matrixed organizations
Pay Range
USD $230,000.00 - USD $290,000.00 /Yr.
