Principal Graphics Engineer Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid - Onsite Tuesday-Thursday) About the Studio We are a AAA gaming studio focused on creating genredefining games and immersive worlds enjoyed by players around the globe. The Role A AAA gaming studio is seeking a Principal Graphics Engineer to help shape a new, unannounced title. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining and evolving the rendering architecture and visual pipelines that deliver highquality, scalable player experiences across multiple platforms. You will work closely with engineers, artists, and designers to ensure visual technology supports creative vision while meeting performance and quality standards expected of a AAA title. What You'll Do * Lead the architecture and development of core rendering systems and graphics pipelines * Define technical direction for realtime 3D rendering, lighting, shaders, and postprocessing * Ensure visual fidelity, performance, and scalability across platforms * Collaborate with art and design teams to translate creative goals into technical solutions * Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers * Operate effectively in a fastpaced development environment with evolving priorities What We're Looking For * Extensive experience as a senior or principallevel graphics or rendering engineer * Strong background in realtime 3D graphics and rendering architecture * Professional experience working on AAA game titles or largescale commercial games * Handson experience with Unity and modern rendering pipelines * Deep understanding of performance optimization and graphics debugging * Ability to balance handson development with technical leadership Work Model This role is hybrid, requiring onsite work in Irvine, CA three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
