Responsible for ensuring that all products, parts, or completed work leaving the shop meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. This role will combine hands-on inspection with team leadership, overseeing detailers and serving as the final checkpoint before delivery.

What You'll Do

You'll have a hand in every aspect of getting a vehicle looking its best. That means things like...

* Inspecting outgoing detailed vehicles

* Ensuring correct detail has been completed

* Monitoring the proper use of equipment

* Updating management on performance for assigned lane(s)

* Making sure each vehicle is reported as complete using operating systems

* Maintaining the flow of incoming and outgoing vehicles

* Verifying assigned lanes have the materials needed to complete details

* Keeping Tools and Equipment in excellent shape.

* Observing safety & health procedures.

* Completing work orders & other vehicle documentation.

By the way, a valid driver's license is a must - we'll need you to drive some of these bad boys from point A to point B. And, if you know your way around auto detailing, painting, and some simple repairs, well, that's another plus in your column.

Who You Are

First, you're a safe and capable driver with a track record to prove it. You can drive both an automatic and a manual like a boss. The physical demands required to get a vehicle looking like a million bucks are no problem for you. Doing a great job matters to you, and working with a tight-knit group to get the job done right gets you even more pumped.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
  • OR 5 years' experience in a related field
  • "Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required."
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles.)


Preferred

  • 6 months of auction or driving experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of auto detailing, paint application processes, and associated repair procedures
  • Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.
  • Knowledge of LDM preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear, vision abilities required to include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk long distances.


Work Environment

  • Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level (100% outdoors)


USD 16.59 - 24.86 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $16.59 - $24.86/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
