SENIOR PLM BUSINESS ANALYST II

Based on site at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Teamcenter Admin will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the smooth running of our PLM system (Siemens -Teamcenter) and its integration with the CAD/CAM systems through engagement with our vendor and the end users. You will be the point person for communicating with developers or vendors on issues that need to be resolved and will implement upgrades and customizations of the PLM system.

While providing prompt user support and monitoring user activities are a core function of the role, you will also have a strong drive to improve our systems. You will work with the engineering and fabrication teams to implement solutions that help to accelerate design and manufacturing. This could include implementing standardized parts, BOM, alternate parts solutions, developing workflows & user support management. You will also be willing to pitch in where needed and assist with surge modelling/drafting support.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:



  • Coordinating cross-functional engineering teams to monitor user activity, analyze feedback from engineering and fabrication, and direct the implementation of critical PLM system improvements and upgrades
  • Developing and architecting new Teamcenter client "skills" including server customizations, and Teamcenter services customizations, creating design models as well as deploying and testing new PLM features
  • Working with users to develop and update tool customizations to improve efficiency
  • Making design improvements to existing PLM processes for continuous space-vehicle section and equipment manufacturing and managing the resulting changes in Siemens NX CAD software and related CAD/CAM systems
  • Evaluating Teamcenter and Siemens NX releases, diagnosing system failures, and recommending remedial actions
  • Communicating with PLM vendors and Teamcenter administrators and, in collaboration with internal IT developers and engineers, implement troubleshooting initiatives, upgrades, and customizations of the PLM system
  • Driving continuous improvements by implementing strategies for successful and efficient PLM integration across the entire company manufacturing cycle, including national and international assets and teams
  • Providing operational support to Teamcenter users including managing user access, permissions, and licensing
  • Keeping abreast of new versions, features, and modules of existing systems and communicating new information to the user community
  • Developing workflows, ACL's, data model customizations, and solution design for system integration
  • Manage the Teamcenter servers across globe and do the upgrade, patching of Teamcenter and its integrations
  • Supporting and delivering training to new and existing engineering staff
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for PLM user support and proven concept-to-launch engineering processes


YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 8+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (12+ years work experience)
  • Experience with Teamcenter 4 tier Architecture and AWC Architecture
  • Experience with handling Teamcenter windows server, scripts, managing servers, deployment center and upgrade
  • Experience with Teamcenter workflows, ACL, plmxml administration, change process, user administration, style sheets, AWC build, BMIDE deployments and other administration tasks
  • Must have experience with Deployment center configurations
  • Integration with ERP/CAD applications
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable working with windows, PowerShell scripts
  • U.S. citizenship is required, due to program requirements


THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:



  • Teamcenter ITK, Services customization would be a plus
  • Teamcenter certification(s).
  • Familiarity with other integrations with Teamcenter

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must be physically able to commute to buildings
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
