Job Summary:

The Manager, Growth Initiatives sits within the broader GTM Retention team and is responsible for supporting M&A customer transitions and driving data-driven improvements across our commodity and cross-serve portfolios The role blends operational process improvement with strategic analytics, identifying gaps and inefficiencies in retention and cross serve and partnering cross-functionally to address them.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

M&A Planning and Execution

  • Support M&A customer book transitions, partnering with sellers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and minimal customer disruption
  • Actively monitor transitioned customers post-close, identifying early attrition risks and deploying targeted retention actions
  • Develop and continuously refine retention strategies for M&A, including broker-sourced customers

Operational Optimization

  • Evaluate end-to-end operational processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities to extend customer tenure and grow cross serve portfolio
  • Drive improvements across the customer portfolio, including rollout of new cross serve products, attrition reduction efforts, and customer lifecycle optimization
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital, and Operations to implement process improvements and retention/cross serve initiatives

Portfolio Performance

  • Analyze customer, financial, and operational processes to identify performance gaps, friction points, and revenue leakage
  • Perform segmentation analyses to isolate performance drivers and inform targeting
  • Translate data insights into clear recommendations and action plans for leadership
  • Support the annual/quarterly growth planning process with opportunity sizing, business cases, and tracking against committed benefits.
  • Prepare presentations and performance reporting for leadership to support decision making and monthly business reviews
Working Conditions:
  • Open office environment, hybrid schedule 4 days in office
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Minimal travel

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, strategy, pricing, consulting, or a related role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into business actions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in M&A, customer retention, lifecycle management, or portfolio optimization
  • Experience in energy retail
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with cross-serve or add-on product portfolios
  • Experience improving business performance based on key metrics and goals

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present insights to leadership
  • Comfort working in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily sedentary (desk work at a computer)
