Are you an experienced R&D Engineer who thrives on turning complex ideas into real world medical solutions? This is an opportunity to play a leading role in developing innovative sports medicine technologies that directly improve patient outcomes, while working in a collaborative, fast paced and purpose driven environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading technical aspects of new product development projects from concept through design transfer and production scale up

  • Designing and developing medical devices including prototyping, verification and validation testing, and technical documentation

  • Creating and maintaining design control documentation such as risk assessments, usability studies, user needs and design inputs

  • Partnering closely with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers to ensure designs are robust, scalable and manufacturable

  • Developing and validating biomechanical and mechanical test methods for sports medicine repair devices

  • Engaging with surgeons, sales and marketing teams to observe procedures and translate user needs into product requirements

  • Supporting intellectual property activities including invention disclosures and patent prosecution

  • Contributing to competitive product analysis and performance testing to support commercial strategy

What will you need to be successful?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong mechanical engineering expertise including SolidWorks, machine design, stress analysis, FEA and GD&T

  • Proven experience working independently on complex technical problems within regulated environments

  • Solid knowledge of design controls and design for manufacturing across plastic and metal components

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a hands on and solutions focused mindset

Theanticipatedbase compensation range for this position is $101,500.00 - $152,250.00 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications, job-related knowledge/skills, geographical location. You will be entitled to receive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
