Overview The Mental Health Tech, under the supervision of the Team leader/Manager, and the Nurse Practitioner Unit Supervisor, provides group and individual behavioral interventions to patients a Behavioral Health setting. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercy Behavioral Health. May include day and evening hours. Schedule: Variable/Flexible Shift: Day Shift Location: Mercyhealth Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Center - Janesville, Wisconsin Pay Range: $18.28/hr - $24.74/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Collects patient data and documents in the medical record. * Assists therapist with group management and behavioral interventions. * Provides patient treatments as ordered. * Documents care provided in the medical record. * Observes patients and reports behaviors or treatment concerns to the therapist, Nurse Practitioner or Team Lead/Manager. * Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies. * Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities. * Assists with cleaning and organizing the programming rooms. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in relevant Behavioral health field. Or: minimum of 5 years of experience working with children. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
