A Taste of What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager in the Tasting Room, you will play a key leadership role in delivering memorable guest experiences that reflect the heart of the Denner brand. You will help guide daily tasting room operations while supporting a team of experience professionals who bring our wines, stories, and hospitality to life. Through thoughtful leadership and strong operational execution, you will help ensure each guest interaction builds loyalty, drives sales, and reinforces our brand standards.

In this role, you will partner closely with leadership to plan and execute daily operations, special events, and wine club experiences. You will lead by example on the floor, demonstrating strong product knowledge, engaging presentation skills, and a commitment to exceptional service. You'll support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and training while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

By coaching and developing team members, monitoring performance, and helping implement strategic initiatives, you will directly influence guest satisfaction, wine club growth, and overall tasting room success.

This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about wine, service, and creating elevated experiences.

Why Denner Vineyards?

Denner has earned its reputation as one of California's great wineries through a steadfast commitment to dry-farming, organic viticulture, and old-world, non-interventionist winemaking - including whole-cluster fermentation, native yeasts, and bottling wines unfined and unfiltered. At the heart of everything is a singular mission: to express, as faithfully as possible, the extraordinary terroir of our patchwork calcareous clay vineyards, which soar to over 1,000 feet above sea level. If you're passionate about crafting wines that truly speak to their place, Denner is where your craft will thrive.
