Job Description:

The Mixed Signal Development Group is responsible for delivering high-speed analog and mixed-signal IP to divisions within Microchip. We work with leading edge CMOS processes to produce analog integrated circuits for wireline applications. From PCIe to 128+Gb/s SERDES, we enable technology that allows Microchip's products to interface to the outside world.

As a member of the Mixed-Signal Development Group, the candidate will be engaged in the design of high speed SERDES, PLLs, integrated filters, ADCs, DACs, and other analog building blocks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage development from specification through to production by interacting with teams in Product Development, Marketing, Validation, Applications, and Production Engineering
  • Manage the development of Mixed Signal IP including subsystem and DSP RTL, Testbench/Verification Components, and analog behavioral models.
  • Manage and lead a team of 20-30 engineers
  • Communication of project and staffing status and issues
  • Manage project risks and mitigation strategies
  • Planning of staff assignments
  • Drive and champion the hiring for the team
  • Continual flow improvement for digital design and verification, DSP design and verification, and analog co-simulation activities

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in in Electrical Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred.

    • Work experience: 15+ years of experience

    • A background in DSP or SERDES designs is preferred

    • Experience with all phases of digital design and verification

    • Excellent written and oral communications skills

    • Prior experience leading or managing a team of RTL, Verification, and/or DSP engineers.

    • Experience working in projects spread over multiple sites

    • Ability to quickly learn and ramp up on new technologies

    The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $91,000 - $232,000.*

    *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
