The Pharmacy Technician Retail/Specialty assists with the activities and processes required to dispense prescriptions and provide quality, safe patient care. Working under close supervision, this role assists the lead technician with inventory maintenance to ensure availability for pharmacy use. Essential Job Function Accepts new prescriptions and refill requests from patients and evaluates for accuracy. Triages telephone calls, answering patient questions when appropriate to deliver high-quality care. Assists pharmacists in medication preparation by preparing, labeling and organizing prescriptions. Sells prescriptions to patients. Delivers quality customer service to every patient. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 1 year Licensure/Certification/Listing
