What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of park and recreation projects for public and private sector clients. You will provide technical and project leadership across multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and oversee scope, schedule, and budget from concept through construction. This role serves as a subject matter expert in park planning and design, while mentoring staff and contributing to business development in a collaborative, clientfocused environment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, track, and manage multiple landscape architecture projects, scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing resources.
  • Lead project delivery from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, profitability, and adherence to client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, managing communication, contracts, and overall client relationships.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, earned value reporting, invoicing, progress reporting, and collections.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement riskmanagement and problemresolution strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate internal project teams and subconsultants, including task administration and quality control of deliverables.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for landscape architecture and planning staff.
  • Facilitate community and stakeholder engagement efforts and lead presentations with clients, public officials, and project partners.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, marketing activities, and client outreach.


What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensure as a Landscape Architect in NC (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, including project management and client interaction.
  • Strong design sensibility, technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other relevant design software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and supporting team members.
