MFM Physician Job Responsibilities & Practice Details:
Join a collaborative team of 12 Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialists and one advanced practice provider, supported by genetic counselors, highly skilled sonographers, and dedicated clinical staff Provide antenatal care and consultation services for select high-risk obstetric patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital Participate in a practice model where the MFM group provides delivery services for select high-risk pregnancies, with after-hours and weekend call supported by a dedicated hospitalist program Engage in a team-based, multidisciplinary care model alongside:
Opportunities to participate in academic and teaching activities, including working with medical students, residents, and fellows Contribute to a culture focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and innovation in high-risk obstetric care
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Experience: Successful completion of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program and fellowship trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start or ACLS Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
