As an Senior Director, Cloud & AI Architect you will manage a team of Cloud & AI Solution Architects who enable customers to achieve their goals and outcomes - based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your expertise of leading technical teams, you will drive the team to ensure customers get value from their Microsoft investments. You and your team will have responsibility for driving key infrastructure technologies and concepts such as Azure Infrastructure, SQL, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Data Science, AI/ML and plenty more.

Responsibilities
  • Hire,on-board, develop, coach, mentor and evaluateCloud& AIArchitects and Engineers. Set a clear bar for role excellence, collaboration, and delivering impact.

  • Build andmaintaina diverse and inclusive team of strongData Science and AIprofessionals with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

  • Mustpossesscross-team collaboration and communication. Partner with all required Microsoft stakeholders to land and drive role clarity, account coverage, projectassignmentand effective cross-team collaboration

  • Enable your team toestablishcustomer relationships with executives inInfrastructureroles whileestablishingyour own. The goal is to create a comprehensive partnership with the customer throughout their ownership lifecycle that maximizes usage.

  • Ensure your team delivers quality production deployments that are resilient and successful.

  • Drive operational excellence, includingtimelyconsumption ofopportunity management and high-quality reporting and insights.

  • Engage with the area's most strategic customers as executivesponsorto accelerateAzure adoptionand helpourcustomers improvetheir infrastructureposture.

Customer Centricity

  • Customer Satisfaction - Lead your team to deliver positive Customer Satisfaction, and coach them to become trusted advisors to customers and partners, byleveragingdomainexpertiseto enable defined Customer Success Plan outcomes.

  • Customer/Partner Insights: Coach the team to provide feedback & insights from customers/partners back to the relevant MSteamsincluding Product Groups, to enable continuous improvement.

Business Impact

  • Manage the consumption business of Solutions and Support to achieve the business goals and deliver customer value: Coach the team to develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results by working with technical decision makers to ensure they understand Microsoft's security value proposition and get value from their investment in the Microsoft technology through deep business understanding of the solution plays and customer scenarios for your solution area

  • Accelerate Resolution of Customer Blockers: Coachthe team toidentifyresolutions to issues blocking go-live of customer success projects byleveragingtechnical subject matterexpertise. Support them to leadtechnicalconversations with customers to drive value from their MS investments, by delivering all work according to MS best practices & policies and using repeatable IP.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.   • Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
  • Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Azure Technologies, AI certifications.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or consultative delivery.
  • 4 + years of experience driving change management or technical adoption. Technical understanding of Microsoft Azure Solutions.
  • Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers.
  • Proven ability to map the customer's needs to technical solutions.
  • Technical understanding of security industry and competitive solutions.
  • Ability to stay up to date on new/improved security scenarios and solution.
  • Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and drive for results.
  • Deliver the end-to-end security story for Microsoft, highlighting the value proposition.
  • Apply design thinking methodology to construct architectures that drive value for the customer, incorporating policies, governance, and customer systems into the overall framework.

Cloud Solution Architecture M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
